Marathon Pharmaceuticals Names Wanda Moebius Vice President of Communications

NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Oct. 31, 2016 – Marathon Pharmaceuticals LLC, a biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for rare diseases, today announced that Wanda Moebius has joined the company as vice president of communications.

In her new role Moebius will oversee all communications activities working to educate the public on the value of developing needed treatment options for rare diseases. In addition, she will work with the media and other stakeholders, and serve as the company’s spokesperson.

Moebius previously served as executive vice president for public affairs at the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), an international trade association representing medical device and diagnostics manufacturers, where she was responsible for the overall communications strategy for the association, including policy communications, consumer education programs, stakeholder engagement and member engagement.

Prior to AdvaMed, Moebius held senior communications roles at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), Dittus Communications and Hill & Knowlton. She began her career as a reporter in Pennsylvania.

Moebius is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in journalism with a minor in political science.
