Tim Ackerman
Director, Commercial Assessment
Mr. Ackerman brings more than 15 years of pharmaceutical experience to Marathon.
Prior to joining Marathon in 2008, Mr. Ackerman held numerous commercial roles at Abbott Laboratories’ Pharmaceutical Product Division including brand management, forecasting, market research and payer marketing. In recent years, Mr Ackerman was responsible for forecasting a multi-billion dollar on-market and development compound portfolio. He also spearheaded the impact of the Medicare Modernization Act on the entire product portfolio.
More recently, Mr. Ackerman led the Primary Care Payer Marketing Team where he enhanced organizational effectiveness and oversaw the strategic and tactical planning for a multi-billion dollar portfolio. Mr. Ackerman was also responsible for developing the Payer New Product Development function for the Managed Care Franchise.
Prior to joining Abbott, Mr. Ackerman worked for four years as an audit consultant for Price Waterhouse and was a certified public accountant. Mr. Ackerman is a graduate of the University of Dayton where he received a BS in accounting.
